I am a Romania based artist and illustrator. I studied at the Art and Design Academy of Cluj-Napoca, with a degree in artistic ceramics. Due to the high costs that come along with the process in this work-field I could not follow ceramics on the appropriate quality level this craft demands. This made me sad but opened other possibilities to work with tools and materials which are easy to find and to handle, mainly simple and recycled. The joy in this work and my enthusiasm for stories lead me unvoluntarily to illustration.

Illustration permits me to use various technique skills and allows experimenting with immage and words. It is a medium where the strong narrative feature of my work is valuable and enables me to communicate with others trough the publishing.

Since 2008 I concentrate on the illustration medium professionally in both my own- or in contracted projects for publishers. 2008 was also the start of our “10squaremeters” project which is a studio and event place for the mediums that don’t have recognition on our cultural scene. With this initiative I want to contribute to the revitalisation of art segments that are paralised in Romania since the 80´s, like the beautifull illustratioan domain.
